Prior approval is required as set out in teh University's Travel & Expenses Policy and Travel Procedures and Regulations. If you have not claimed Motor Travel Allowances before OR you have changed your vehicle, OR your insurance has expired since you last claims you should also add or upadte your vehicle using your Core Portal account. You must confirm that your insurance covers business travel in your personal car.  The University does not insure drivers using their own vehicles in its insurance policies.

The following distances are provided as a guide for staff travelling. The estimated cost of travel is the number of kilometres multiplied by the appropriate Motor Travel Rates. (See Travel section for latest rates). These distances have been updated to reflect that the improved road network has effectively extended the distances on many routes, whilst achieving time savings.  This is effective from Monday 31st August 2015.
